On May 2nd, the school celebrated Teachers’ Day, coinciding with the birth anniversary of the 3rd Druk Gyalpo Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. The event was organized by trainee teachers and captains, and it provided an opportunity for students to express their gratitude and appreciation to their teachers. The event was a great success. It started with a special assembly that was attended by all the students, teachers, and staff members of the school. The assembly began with a prayer, followed by the lighting of butter lamps, cake cutting ceremony and a moment of silence in remembrance of the 3rd Druk Gyalpo Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. After the formalities were over, the program continued with a series of performances by students. The trainee teachers and captains had prepared a variety of cultural dances, songs,and games to entertain the audience. The performances were a great way to showcase the talents of the students and to create a festive atmosphere. In addition to the cultural performances, there were also speeches by the captains. They expressed their gratitude towards the teachers and highlighted the importance of education in their lives. I
