The Action Research Symposium was successfully conducted at Jungshina Primary School on 13 March 2026. The programme was organized by the Thimphu Thromde Education Division with the aim of providing a platform for teachers to share their action research findings and promote professional learning among educators.

The symposium brought together teachers and researchers from schools under Thimphu Thromde. A total of eight researchers presented their action research papers during the programme. Among them, five presenters were from Jungshina Primary School, while three presenters were from other Thromde schools, namely Jigme Losel Primary School, Rinchen Kuenphel Primary School, and Changrigphel Primary School.

The Chief Thromde Education Officer (TEO) attended the symposium as the Guest of Honour. In the address, the chief emphasized the importance of action research in improving classroom practices and encouraged teachers to continue engaging in research to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

Each presenter was given time to share their research focus, methodology, findings, and recommendations. The presentations covered various classroom challenges and innovative strategies used by teachers to improve student learning. The sessions also included discussions and feedback, allowing participants to reflect on the research and exchange ideas.

The symposium served as a valuable platform for teachers to learn from one another and strengthen a culture of reflective practice in schools. The event concluded with appreciation to all presenters, participants, and organizers for making the programme meaningful and successful.

Overall, the Action Research Symposium contributed to strengthening professional collaboration among teachers and supporting the goal of improving the quality of education in Thromde schools
