Jungshina Primary School conducted an Anti-Bullying and School Discipline Sensitization Programme led by the Principal, Wellbeing Committee, and Discipline Committee to reinforce a safe, respectful, and conducive learning environment for all students. During the programme, students were sensitized on the harmful effects of bullying and the importance of demonstrating kindness, empathy, and respect towards one another. The school reiterated its commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment through a zero-tolerance policy on bullying and the possession of mobile phones in school.
To further strengthen school discipline, the Principal announced that frisking and monitoring will be enhanced with the support of Peer Helpers, in addition to class teachers and class captains. This initiative aims to prevent students from bringing mobile phones and other inappropriate gadgets to school, which can contribute to bullying, distraction, and other disciplinary issues. As the mid-year examinations commence tomorrow, the school management reminded all teachers, class captains, and student leaders to remain vigilant, especially after examinations, as this is often a period when students may engage in inappropriate behaviour while returning home. The Principal also requested parents and guardians to ensure the safe pick-up and drop-off of their children during the examination period. The support and cooperation of parents are essential in ensuring the safety, well-being, and discipline of all students. Jungshina Primary School remains committed to nurturing responsible, respectful, and compassionate learners while fostering a positive and secure school environment for everyone.
